Boosting security within Iten- County Repairs Security Lights

Collaboration between the County Government and Kenya Power Company has led to the repair of streets lights within Iten township.

Kenya Power has pumped in Ksh 4 million for repair of the street lights within Iten town and other major towns in the County.

The County Government pays monthly bills for all the LED street lights in the County, which replaced the former solar powered lights.

CEC Incharge of Lands, Physical Planning, Housing and Urban Development, Thomas Maiyo, thanked the power utility company for the support.

“Our residents in Iten and other townships can now be assured of continuous security,” he said.
The repair works, which started today, saw 80 lanterns and 60 automation switches for repaired and others replaced.
Accompanying the Kenya Power team was Chief Officer in the department, Emmanuel Birir.
