Bungoma County Braces for Competitive Women Rep Race
A 22 year fourth year student has joined the Bungoma county woman representative race ahead of 2027 elections.
Agneta Mwangale who reside from Kimilili constituency told this writer that she will run for the seat come 2027.
Ms.Mwangale who is also a student leader at Moi University will be making her first stab in politics.
She further disclosed that already she has formed a team of her campaigners from each ward in the county.
Prior,she has been participating in local politics and community empowerment by distributing free sanitary pads and motivational talks to schools.
Bungoma county has 45 wards.
She will battle it out with incumbent Catherine Wambilianga of Ford Kenya party,Nancy Kibaba,Mca Grace Sundukwa,Sween Khayanga and Rebecca Masibayi.
She will be the first youngest woman in history to run for woman seat in Bungoma county.
When elected as the third woman Mp of Bungoma county,she said to prioritise empowering youths and women.
“I will fight this menace of early pregnancy in the county once in office”she posed.
When asked about the political party she will use to run for the seat,she was elusive to disclose but further said she will use home and popular party.
