He noted that despite the challenges bedelving the county especially health and agricultural sectors, his administration is working round the clock to ensure services reach the people.

“With enhanced new scheme on remuneration of our Community Health Promoters (CHPs), we believe that if we manage well health-related challenges at grassroots level we will be able to manage at least 70 per cent of the issues straining the referral and sub county hospitals,” said the governor.

He added that his admistration will continue to work closely with the national government to ensure he meets the obligations of his administration by leveraging on technology to provide solution.

On matters agriculture, he noted that his government has singled out agribusiness for purposes of food security, employment creation and industrialisation.

“We are also building urban resilient areas to attract investment. Our economy is not fully integrated in the EAC. We need trailer parks that are economically integrated into business hubs rather that net exporter that excludes residents wealth creation.”
