Buzeki Condemns Stoning of His Campaign Vehicles
Uasin Gishu gubernatorial aspirant on an independent party ticket Zedekiah Bundotich alias Buzeki has condemned the attack on his campaign team around the silver line hotel in Eldoret town.
Speaking to the press at the Eldoret Central Police Station, Buzeki said that the silver line area has been a violent spot.
“This area has repeatedly been mentioned on matters of brutality and political hostility. Violence was
meted on my team in 2017 in the same location. I would advise the management of the hotel to steer
off these goons from their business premises because this act will tarnish its good image and perhaps
inhibit it from flourishing,” said Buzeki.
Buzeki called upon the Uasin Gishu County Commissioner Stephen Kihara to ensure that the political temperatures are cooled down.
Buzeki beseeched the National Government to join hands with the Uasin Gishu county government to ensure that those involved
are arrested and arraigned in court.
“We have previously heard that Uasin Gishu county has been listed as a violence hotspot area by the
National Cohesion and Integration Commission. All officers of the law should therefore keep their
shoulders to the wheel to guarantee the residents that these are just mere allegations and that political
inciters pay for their crime. We have left the matter to the police and we believe that justice will be
served,” added Buzeki.
He further condemned politicians who corrupt the minds of voters by buying them food. He asked them
to sell their manifestos instead.
Zaccheus Ng’eno, the deputy police commander said that investigations on the matter are
ongoing and that two suspects have already been arrested.
“We have started investigations on the same and we will arrest all those who were involved in the heinous act. Let us tolerate each other no matter their political affiliation,” Uasin Gishu Deputy County Commander added.
