Cabinet Secretary for Tourism and Wildlife Calls for Enhanced Governance and Innovation at KICC
Rebecca Miano, the Cabinet Secretary for Tourism and Wildlife, has called for heightened governance and innovation within the Kenya International Convention Centre (KICC) team. Speaking at a recent briefing, Miano expressed her encouragement with the current teamwork but emphasized the need for integrating good governance, research-driven decision-making, and innovative practices to advance the sector.
Miano highlighted the importance of leveraging data from research to inform and implement programs, aiming to spur growth and development within the tourism and wildlife sectors. In a bid to streamline operations and improve transparency, she has directed that payment processes for the KICC be automated within the next three months. This move is anticipated to boost efficiency and enhance accountability at the facility.
