Charles Walioli Wabwoba has been sworn in today as Trans Nzoia County Attorney in a ceremony held at the county headquarters in Kitale town
Speaking during the swearing in ceremony, Governor Patrick Khaemba directed that the attorneys office be well financed to kick start its mandate saying his administration’s development agenda has for long been derailed by legal hurdles courtesy of petitions.

The youthful advocate takes up all legal matters pertaining to the county government after emerging successful among other candidates who had also shown interest in the position.
“I will diligently discharge my duties as the county attorney by offering the right legal advice and representing the county government effectively in all litigation matters in the courts of law,” said Mr. Wabobwa after taking oath.
On his part Trans-Nzoia county Deputy Governor Dr. Stanley Tarus noted the appointment of the county attorney will aid the county government with a legal knowhow on how to approach several matters under its jurisdiction.
“We have been facing many legal setbacks while discharging our duties for the two terms we have been in office. This new office will offer the necessary advice to boost the delivery of services,” said the deputy governor.
The county assembly’s chairman of the Justice and legal affairs committee Mathews Orang’o said the county attorney’s office will play a critical role in overseeing the transition to the next administration after the 2022 general elections.
“The office of the county attorney will be very critical in managing the transition process. The county assembly welcomes the setting up of this office which will ensure there is safe custody of all public assets,” said Mr. Orang’o.
