Chemolingot sub county Hospital in Tiaty Sub County conducts it’s first ever Caeserian childbirth
Chemolingot sub county Hospital is among the six hospitals in the County which is well equipped with a fully operational theatre and other medical facilities which aids in boosting health care services.
This is in line with Governor Kiptis dream of bringing health care services closer to Mwananchi and further reduce referral cases to other hospitals and in the end reduce maternal and neunatal mortality.
Today, Dr. Elizabeth Chebet led a team of 5 medics who helped Linah Chemchin a 34 year old deliver her newborn through Caesarian delivery.
This success was attributed to the fact that the County Government in partnership with Safaricom Foundation Constructed and equipped the maternity wing in the facility, in addition to skilled and motivated staff.
Additionally, the use of Telemedicine revolutionizes provision and access to quality healthcare in that it enhances accessibility and efficiency thus cutting on the cost of access, clinical support, travel, and other geographical factors.
