Clergy Condemn Ruto Government
In a significant outcry, various clergy members have condemned President William Ruto’s government, asserting that it has strayed from divine principles and failed to serve its citizens. Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua’s comments about the government’s alignment with God have ignited further criticism among religious leaders.
Pastor TR John cited Proverbs 17:19, emphasizing the discord within Ruto’s administration: “He who loves a quarrel loves sin; he who builds a high gate invites destruction.” His remarks reflect a growing concern over the internal conflicts and lack of unity within the government.
Reverend Tony Kiamah of the River of God Church strongly denounced the government, claiming it has “stolen, killed, and destroyed the economy.” He pointed out, “This is not the government of God. We shall know them by their fruits, and for sure there is no fruit there.”
Clergy members expressed regret over their previous support for Ruto’s administration, admitting their disappointment in its performance. Rev. Tetesia Wairimu from Faith Evangelist Ministry stated, “All the way till now, I thought this government was a government of God. To our embarrassment, it is a government of fight.”
Apostle William Kimani of Kingdom Seekers warned that divine retribution may be on the horizon for Ruto’s administration, claiming, “God will punish this government for its departure from His path.”
As dissatisfaction mounts, the clergy are calling for repentance and a return to values they believe are essential for effective governance.
