COOPERATE WITH NEW TASKFORCE LEADERS, DR OTUOMA URGES DEPARTMENTAL HEADS

Busia Governor Paul Nyongesa Otuoma has urged departmental heads to cooperate with the four Task Force Chairpersons he appointed on Thursday to spearhead the implementation of 100-Days Rapid Results Initiative (RRI) deliverables.

Dr Otuoma who was addressing County Directors, members of the County Public Service Board and the Municipality at Busia ATC, reiterated the need for seamless service delivery to residents within the stipulated period.

“Let us take our responsibilities seriously so that we tackle the challenges facing our county with the sobriety it deserves. Let us avoid blame games so that we move swiftly from where we are,” said the governor.

The meeting is a follow up to the Governor’s directive to suspend County Secretary Nicodemus Mulaku, all County Executive Committee Members (CECs) and Chief Officers as part of restructuring process of his government.
He further directed the officers to hand over their responsibilities to their respective Directors pending any action that the law prescribes.
Following the changes, Deputy Governor H.E Arthur Odera will chair the Finance, Economic, Planning and ICT Sub Committee.

Former Butula MP Michael Onyura will chair the Public Service Management, Governance, Legal and Administrations Sub Committee.

Dr Olango Onudi will chair the Health, Education, Infrastructure and Social Sub Committee, Mr Patrick Sanya Odame (Agriculture, Water, Trade and Lands Sub Committee while Mr Timothy Odende, the Director Governance and Special Programs will be the Secretary to the team.
