Correctional Services Principal Secretary Leads Prayer Service at Makadara Probation Station
On Friday, Dr. Salome Beacco, Principal Secretary for Correctional Services, joined staff from Probation Kenya for a prayer service at the Makadara Probation Station. The gathering aimed to foster fellowship among staff, enhance focus, express gratitude, and improve relationships among coworkers and supervisors, ultimately boosting productivity.
During the meeting, Dr. Beacco encouraged the officers to reaffirm their faith and seek divine guidance in their service to the country. “We are gathered here to find solace in each other and God. This reminds us of the importance of standing together and being our brothers’ and sisters’ keepers,” she stated, highlighting the significance of spiritual support in their demanding roles.
She further stressed that in challenging times, turning to faith can provide essential strength and clarity. “As public servants in a demanding field, it’s crucial that we turn to faith in times of difficulty. May this be a time of reflection and healing as we find strength in our shared faith and responsibility,” Dr. Beacco added.
Dr. Christine Obondi, Secretary of Probation and Aftercare Services, also addressed the gathering, urging the officers to remain united and support one another during challenging periods. She expressed her gratitude to Dr. Beacco for her ongoing support, noting that it has been a significant source of encouragement for the staff.
The prayer service served as a vital reminder of the importance of community and faith in the public service sector, as officers committed to supporting one another in their roles.
