CS Kuria Lunches Sh 500 Million Meru County Aggregation and Industrial Park
Trade, Investments, and Industry Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria launched the Ksh500 million Meru County Aggregation and Industrial Park in Ruiri Rwarera ward.
According to Meru governor Kawira Mwangaza shis game changing initiative will revolutionize Meru County’s economic landscape by creating an all-inclusive economic model that will have far-reaching impacts, including boosting agricultural productivity, reducing poverty, generating employment opportunities, enhancing food security, eliminating middlemen, and ultimately increasing income for our farmers through value addition and industrialization.
“In partnership with the national government, our vision is to put an end to post-harvest losses of agricultural produce by focusing on strengthening value chains in key sectors such as dairy products, potatoes, avocados, macadamia, bananas, and miraa, among others,” governor Mwangaza says.
She says the project is a testament to a collective commitment to the prosperity and sustainable development of Meru County.
“Together, we are shaping a brighter future for Meru community and the agricultural sector in order to free our people from all forms of servitude. Meru must be happy,” she said.
