Cabinet Secretary Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry Rebecca Miano signed agreements with 18 governors to establish County Aggregation and Industrial Parks (CAIPs) in their Counties.
The establishment of County
Aggregation and Industrial Parks (CAIPs) across all 47 Counties seeks to elevate the contribution of manufacturing to GDP from the current 7% to 15% by 2027 and 20% by 2030. With collaboration between the National and County Governments, private sector players ,development partners, and the @Unid this is tenable.
The National Government, in collaboration with the County Government, intends to establish the CAIPs across all 47 counties.
This initiative is poised to unlock the immense potential within both the manufacturing and agricultural sectors, leading to increased employment, enhanced farmers’ income, and the export of agro-processed products.
