DETECTIVES ARRIVE IN THE NICK OF TIME AND SAVE TWO THUGS FROM ANGRY MOB
Two thugs are thanking sleuths based at DCI Kasarani for saving their lives, from the wrath of an angry mob that almost lynched them.
The thugs had snatched a mobile phone and a handbag from a middle aged woman, who was walking home at Seasons area in Kasarani sub county last Friday evening.
In the ensuing melee, the woman raised alarm attracting the attention of nduthi men who were metres away, jostling for the hard to find wathii who would occasionally be dropped off by matatus, and opt to take a bike home.
Following the incident, the nduthi men immediately roared their bikes to life and gave chase after the two thugs who took flight towards Hunters.
The chase didn’t last long as the bikes caught up with the miscreants a few metres away, with the leading bike man identified as Jonte jumping from his speeding bike and landing on the ground with one thug. The remaining thug was floored a few steps away after another nduthi man went for his jugular almost choking life out of him.
What followed was a severe beating for the two as the nduthi men launched a barrage of blows and kicks that disfigured one of the thug’s mandibular anatomy as his accomplice suffered a swollen eye and disjointed limbs.
Stall vendors selling mare mare products across the road joined in the crowd to offer what they termed as instant justice to the thugs.
Luckily for the thugs, a Subaru ya mambaru that was packed to capacity from patrol, approached and rescued them from the wrath of the angry mob.
The lady who had been attacked earlier got her mobile phone and handbag back as the thugs were bundled into the waiting vehicle to face justice in a court of law.
