DP Gachagua Hits at Odinga on US Ambassadors’ Remarks
Deputy president Rigathi Gachagua has hit at the opposition leader Raila Odinga for lashing out at U.S. Ambassador to Kenya Meg Whitman.
This comes after Whitman gave her remarks on the 2023 general election being free and fair.
Gachagua termed Odinga as common Mwananchi and that he has no powers to hire or fire anyone in the government not even.
“I want to remind you that William Ruto is the President of Kenya and you’re just a common citizen with no powers to decide on the fate of anyone and because citizens have denied you to rule them you should not bring conflicts,” said Gchagua.
Speaking in Eldoret town Gachagua revealed that the government has plans of disbursing money to the elderly every month.
“The president has plans of giving money to citizens of age 70 years and above. soon we will start to register aged people and Raila should be part of the group where he will be given sh 2,000 per month,” added the deputy president mockingly.
He further added that it has been a norm for Raila seeking to be part of the government after losing in general elections and the same won’t be of success in the current government.
He has also urged the governors and the members of parliament to perform their duties as intended for the government has laid out funds for developments.
“As I’m going to end the devolution conference today I’ll like to remind the governors and the MPs that we have availed them with money to do projects for citizens and they owe us nothing,” concluded Gachagua.
