The Sectoral Council on Environment and Natural Resources Management is responsible for overseeing matters related to the environment and natural resources within the EAC.
In Kigali, Rwanda I led the Kenyan delegation during the 9th Meeting of the Sectoral Council on Environment and Natural Resources Management, session of Permanent/Principal/Under Secretaries.
As we discussed the environmental challenges such as climate change, I took cognisance of the fact that these challenges will be addressed in line with the aspirations of the Treaty and propel the region in a sustainable development pathway.”
