Eldoret : 90 cartons of illicit brew Netted
Police officers from Soy Sub-county Uasin Gishu County have netted 90 cartons of illicit brew after a raid at Kamukunji estates in Eldoret.
According to Soy Sub County police Commander Henry Zuma the illicit brew bearing the name Kingdom and signature is said to come from Uganda illegally which is not safe for human consumption.
“This morning we found illicit brew in Kamukunji amounting to 90 cartons having 24 bottles each bearing the names Kingdom and Signature, “said Zuma.
Zuma cautioned the residents to cease using the illicit brew, especially during the Christmas season to able to have bright and a better future and encourage the public to practice good business that can be done for a leaving.
“I appeal to the people of Eldoret not to use the brew because it is destroying their lives while there are a lot of good businesses out there waiting for you people”, said the sub-County commander.
Zuma revealed that one person has been arrested suspected to be importing the brew from Uganda and will be arraigned in Court.
“So far we have arrested one person whom we suspect that he is the one who brings the brew to the country”’ said the police boss.
The police boss has promised the residents of Soy of good planned security during the festive season saying police patrols have been put in to curb insecurity incidences and urged the public to be alert and report any incidences of insecurity.
“ Police officers are put in patrols across the county saying all the police in the country have been called to duty during this festive season”, said the commander.
