In a bold and decisive move, President William Ruto has dissolved his entire cabinet, a step hailed by many as both necessary and overdue in light of the current political climate.

Kipkorir Ngetich, a prominent human rights activist based in Eldoret, has publicly applauded the President’s firm decision, calling it a reflection of visionary and articulate leadership.

In a statement released earlier today, Ngetich emphasized that the President’s action illustrates a clear commitment to addressing the pressing needs of the nation.

“The President’s decision to dissolve the cabinet at this juncture demonstrates a leader who is not only aware of the gravity of the current political situation but is also willing to take bold steps for the betterment of the country,” Ngetich stated.

Ngetich, known for his advocacy for good governance and public accountability, criticized the outgoing cabinet as characterized by arrogance, luxury, and incompetence. He noted that the previous ministers failed to meet the expectations of the Kenyan people in terms of effective service delivery.

“The outgoing cabinet was marked by a lack of responsibility and an inability to tackle the challenges facing our country,” Ngetich said. “In contrast, the President’s decisive action signifies a commitment to fostering a government that is innovative, accountable, and dedicated to the needs of Kenyans.”

Looking ahead, Ngetich called for the new cabinet to represent a diverse and capable team, reflective of the broad spectrum of Kenyan society. “We hope the next composition of the cabinet will include able men and women who are prepared to support the President in devising and implementing solutions to the country’s current challenges,” he said. “We need public servants who are responsible, accountable, and articulate in their roles.”

In his statement, Ngetich also proposed that any outgoing ministers who demonstrated exceptional performance might deserve a chance at reappointment.

“If there are ministers from the outgoing cabinet who have shown themselves to be effective and dedicated, they should be considered for reintegration into the new team,” he suggested.

As the nation awaits the announcement of the new cabinet, Ngetich’s comments reflect a broader hope among Kenyans for a government that prioritizes the welfare of the people and addresses the country’s pressing issues with renewed vigor and competence.
