Eldoret National Polytechnic Gears Up for Principal’s Cup
Eldoret National Polytechnic is buzzing with excitement as it prepares to host the highly anticipated Principal’s Cup, a week-long interdepartmental sports competition set to run from October 7th to October 12th. Coaches, captains, and participants gathered at the polytechnic grounds on Saturday for final preparations, underscoring the event’s significance.
Sports Officer Mr. Musa Kibet emphasized the importance of the tournament, urging all trainees to attend and participate. “The theme of the competition is ‘Thriving High Through Sports.’ I believe our trainees will see this as a valuable opportunity to nurture their talents,” he said. Kibet also praised Chief Principal Charles Koech for his commitment to organizing the event.
In a show of support, the school’s Cabinet Secretary for Sports, Fidel Juma, echoed Kibet’s sentiments. “I want to thank our Chief Principal for providing this platform for our students. Participation in this competition not only fosters talent but also promotes teamwork and school spirit,” he remarked, encouraging students to engage fully in the competition. Juma also noted that awards would be given to top performers.
Amos Wangatia, captain of the Town Campus team, expressed confidence in his squad’s preparations. “We’ve worked hard since Monday, and we’re ready to give our best. We promise not to let the principal down,” Wangatia stated.
With enthusiasm and support from the administration, the Principal’s Cup promises to be a thrilling showcase of talent and sportsmanship at Eldoret National Polytechnic.
