EVOJO DISPENSARY TO BE UPGRADED TO HEALTH CENTRE STATUS
Residents of Bendera, Chavakali ward in Sabatia Sub County are set to access medical services on full-time basis following plans to upgrade the Evojo Dispensary to Health Centre status.
While officially opening the hospital today, Vihiga Governor Hon. Dr. Wilber Khasilwa Ottichilo said it will go a long way in providing health services to locals effectively and efficiently.
“Evojo Dispensary is just but one of the many hospitals we have opened across the county to offer services to our people.
Health being my top priority, our aim as a government is to bring services closer to mwananchi so that we can save on the time and costs spent while travelling long distances to access services at the County Referral Hospital,” stated the County Boss.
According to Health Services Acting CECM Prof. Inonda Mwanje, the department is mandated to ensure that Vihiga people benefit from fruits of devolution especially in the health sector.
Chief Officer in charge of Health Services Dr. Mary Anyienda on her part elaborated that the hospital will be operating on a 24/7 basis to ensure that residents are served accordingly.
