Former Sotik MP Anthony Kimeto is Dead
Hon Anthony Kimeto- father to immediate former Mp Sotik Eng Hon. Dominic Koskei -Sotet Junior passed on on 22nd August 2022 in the morning while he was being taken to Nairobi Hospital for medical routine check up.
Hon Kimeto was elected as the first Member of Parliament for Sotik Constituency through KANU when it was established in 1997 and he served for two terms. He was succeeded by The late Hon Lorna Laboso in 2007.
His body is lying in Lee Funeral Home Nairobi awaiting for his final send off which is yet to be communicated later.
Outgoing Sotik MP Dominick Koskei mourned his father as a hardworking and God fearing individual.
Through his official Facebook page Koskei posted “Hi everyone. Sad to inform you that we lost our patriarch. My father, Hon. Anthony Kipkosgei Kimetto (MP sotik 1997-2007), left to be with the lord yesterday morning. Hard to accept. It has been a difficult moment for us as a family but we accept Gods will,”Mr Kimetto, or Sotet, died at Nairobi Hospital, where he was being treated for diabetes complications.
“We thank God for the years he gave us to be with him. Plans for the funeral is underway en we will update accordingly. Thanks everyone for the prayers and support.God bless you All,” he added.
Kenyans used his post to send their mesages of condolences to the family and friends of the deceased.
