Generation Z in Soy Constituency Demands Accountability from MP David Kiplagat
In a bold move that has captured the attention of the local and national media, the younger generation of Soy Constituency has issued a formal statement demanding accountability from their Member of Parliament, David Kiplagat.
The group has expressed deep concern over recent public statements made by Kiplagat, which they describe as “highly inappropriate and abusive” towards Governor Jonathan Bii Chelilim.
In a letter addressed to Kiplagat, the Generation Z representatives criticized the MP for using derogatory language against Chelilim, calling it an affront to the dignity of both the Governor and the office of the MP.
They argue that such behavior sets a poor example for the youth and undermines the integrity of public service.
The letter also addresses disturbing allegations that Kiplagat may have been involved in incitement and the sponsorship of disruptive protests. According to the Generation Z group, these actions threaten the peace and stability of their community.
As a response to the MP’s actions, the group has demanded an immediate apology from Kiplagat. They have also announced their intention to visit his home, business premises, and NGCDF offices to voice their concerns directly if the issue is not resolved promptly.
“We are committed to holding our leaders to the highest standards of integrity and accountability,” the letter states. “We expect a sincere apology and a commitment to positive leadership from our MP.”
The controversy highlights the growing influence of younger voters and their increasing willingness to hold their representatives accountable. As the situation develops, all eyes will be on how Kiplagat responds to these serious allegations and the demands of his constituents.
