Government Officials Extend Aid to Flood Victims in Kiambiu Informal Settlement

In a demonstration of solidarity and support for those affected by the recent spate of heavy rains and flash floods, Hon Yusuf Hassan, Member of Parliament for Kamukunji, welcomed key government officials to the Kiambiu informal settlement in Eastleigh South.

Among the dignitaries who visited the affected area were the Cabinet Secretary for Trade and Industrialization, Rebecca Miano, and the Principal Secretary for Industrialization, Dr. Juma Mukwana. Their presence underscored the government’s commitment to providing relief to communities grappling with the aftermath of natural disasters.

Expressing gratitude on behalf of his constituency, Hon Yusuf Hassan extended his appreciation for the government’s timely intervention. The provision of essential supplies including rice, beans, fortified porridge, and blankets will undoubtedly alleviate the hardships faced by the flood victims, offering much-needed relief during these challenging times.

The collaborative effort to address the crisis was further emphasized by the presence of other distinguished guests, including James Gakuya, Member of Parliament for Embakasi North and Chair of the Trade Committee.
