Governor Alex Tolgo’s Government Upgrades Mung’o Dispensary
The Department of Health & Sanitation has today upgraded Mung’o dispensary to a health centre. This is as a result of increased workload in the facility following key improvements that have been done in the facility.
During the visit, the Chief Officer Health & Sanitation Mary Kipchumba delivered assorted equipment that are critical to the new status of the facility.This includes key maternity equipment (delivery bed, hospital beds, baby warmer, screens and incubator) and lab equipment that includes a full hemogram machine, centrifuge and a microscope. These equipment are worth over Ksh. 5m.
Speaking during the function that included opening of the maternity, CO Mary urged the residents to make use of the facility and also enroll to NHIF so as to benefit from the various packages.
During the function, residents benefited from free screening of diabetes, hypertension, cervix cancer, TB and HIV. Treatment of various ailments was also done.
Other staff in attendance included Dr. Kosgei Ag. Director Medical Services, Marakwet East Sub County MOH John Teimet and other health staff
