In his remarks, the Governor reiterated that mobilization of own-source revenue remains a cornerstone for actualizing his development agenda thus instructing all Departments that mobilize revenue to hold regular structured meetings with the County Revenue Agency to address emerging issues; particularly the Departments of Health, Lands, and Trade.

The Department of Health was also tasked by the Governor to urgently finalize the waiver policy and establish a cordial working relationship with revenue staff.

FCPA Barasa also directed that the entire Executive takes part in the ongoing KCRA’s Rapid Results Intiatives until the end of this Financial Year so as to realize the County’s Own Source Revenue target of Kshs 2 Billion.

Any acts of lawlessness and impunity unearthed in revenue collection, he affirmed, will be dealt with promptly and decisively.

His Deputy Ayub Savula reiterated on the importance of enhancing monitoring and evaluation in every department for seamless execution of the Governor’s Manifesto. The DG further called on the County Revenue Agency to seal all loop-holes in revenue collection.
