Governor Bii Distributes 80 Dorper sheep to Kapsaos Farmers
Uasin Gishu governor Jonathan Bii on Friday distributed 80 Dorper sheep to the Kapsaos farmer’s Cooperative.
He said this is part of his “Inua Jamii na Dorper” program
“We have just had a great distribution of 80 Dorper sheep to Kapsaos farmer’s Cooperative, as part of our wider “Inua Jamii na Dorper” program aimed at empowering farmers and improving agricultural development in our county,” said the Uasin Gishu governor after distributing the Dorper sheep.
Governor Bii said the program will have a major impact on the lives of citizens in our county, particularly those in the three wards of Tulwet Chuiyat, Sergoit, and Kapsaos, who have received a total of 208 Dorper sheep out of 496 meant for seven wards.
“This is a significant step towards transforming the lives of many citizens in our county through training on good livestock husbandry practice and increased income. I want to commend the Members of the County Assembly for their contribution towards this noble initiative. Together, we are empowering farmers and uplifting our communities,” said Uasin Gishu second governor
Present were area MCA Hon. Isaac Samoei Chepkulei (Kapsaos), and Sarah Abdi (nominated MCA). County Executive Committee Members comprised, Eng. Joseph Lagat (Roads), and Edward Sawe (Agriculture) among members of the society.
