Governor Bii Launches 30 Bed Cacity in patient Wing at Chepkanga Health Center
The County Government of Uasin Gishu has made another significant milestone towards improving the healthcare services in Chepkanga Health Centre in Sergoit ward, Moiben Sub County by inaugurating a new 30-bed capacity in-patient wing.
Speaking during the official opening of the wing, Governor Bii highlighted his administration’s commitment to prioritizing healthcare services by sharing his vision of expanding the services available to residents, including the installation of dialysis, dental, and X-ray facilities.
These specialized services will make it easier for the residents to access essential medical services without having to travel long distances.
Bii emphasized the importance of prevention in maintaining a healthy society.
“As part of my administration’s strategy, I will also launch Community Health Promoters, an initiative that will see them conduct preventive measures and enhance healthcare practices that include checking of blood sugars and pressure,” said Bii.
On his part, Sergoit Ward Member of County Assembly Hon David Keitany said that the introduction of the 30-bed capacity in-patient wing and the upcoming installation of dialysis, dental, and X-ray services reflects Governor Bii’s dedication to the welfare of his constituents.
“With this launch, healthcare accessibility and quality in Moiben Sub County is set to significantly improve ultimately leading to a healthier and more prosperous community,” added Hon Keitany.
Chief Officers Dr. Joyce Sang(Clinical Services) and Eng Abraham Kiptalam (Roads) said that timely and quality healthcare services are key therefore, the opening of the in-patient wing is a relief to the residents who require such services.
