Governor Bii Officially Opens Rupaben Zaverchand Oshwal Center
Uasin Gishu governor Jonathan Bii on graced the official opening of Rupaben Zaverchand Oshwal Center at Kapsoya area in Kapsoya ward.
He said the inauguration of the magnificent temple and multi-purpose hall is a testament to the charitable hearts of the Vaghji Nangpar, the Rupaben Zaverchand and the Gosrani families; and their commitment to assisting the needy from all walks of life.
“I acknowledge the Oshwal community in Eldoret and the continued partnership with the Asian community for the pivotal role in the development of Eldoret town, ” he aaid.
He was accompanied area MCA, Hon. Isaac Kemboi among other county officials.
The Shah community, in particular, embraced a business-oriented mindset and opened textile shops in different towns. With over a century of settlement in Kenya, they have flourished immensely, considering this country their home. The Visa Oshwal Community of Eldoret has been singled out for consistently providing employment opportunities to over 20,000 youth across various sectors.
