Governor Bii to Construct a House for Ninety-three -year-old Who Recently Got Married
Uasin Gishu governor Jonathan Bii has promised to construct a permanent house for Ninety-three -year-old Johanna Arap Butuk.
Butuk nit the headlines after marrying a 30 years old lady Alice Jepkorir.
They held their wedding on January 14, 2022, in Soy, Uasin Gishu County where the priests from the Catholic Church presided over the lovely function.
Uasin Gishu governor paid the family a courtesy call.
“When Johanna Butuk aged 93 years decided to wed his lovely wife Alice Jemeli 40, at a recent colorful event, they became the talk of the nation. Mzee and his wife are progressing well and this was evident today following my visit to their home in Murgoen village in Soy ward.
“The step they took to publicly solemnise their union is worth emulating.
I am going to honour Butuk’s wish by assisting him in the construction of a permanent house,” he added.
