Governor Bii to Launch Milk Program For ECDE This Tuesday
Uasin Gishu County Is set to launch the Uasin Gishu ECDE School Milk Programme on the 23rd Tuesday at central primary school Eldoret.
The Project is a part of the governor’s Nguzo Kumi Manifesto to ensure healthy, strong, and future champions.
Ksh 60 million has been allocated for the project in the current financial year.
The program is targeting all the Early Child Development Centres across Uasin Gishu County.
The chief guest will be the principal Secretary of State Department Of Basic Education Dr. Richard Belio Kipsang.
The County also plans to provide sufficient learning materials, expand access to ECDE education, complete ECDE centers and improve terms of service for the ECDE teachers.
The milk feeding program targeting 40,000 ECDE learners targets to increase enrollment and retain them in school.
