Governor Bii Unveils Kapsaos Health Facility
Uasin Gishu Governor Jonathan Bii on Saturday officially opened Kapsaos Health facility in Kapsaos Ward ,Turbo Sub County, with an aim of taking health care services closer to the public.
Speaking while unveiling the facility, Governor Bii urged the residents to make use of the County facilities diagnostic equipments will be installed and drones used for timely responses.
“We are working together with ELSMED to install diagnostic equipments in our facilities so that the residents don’t travel long distances looking for services which can be received with ease,”said Bii.
Governor Bii also said his government has facilitated supply of drugs directly from KEMSA to health facilities to ensure that there is enough drugs for the public at all times. This, he says, was his his pre-election pledge.
The County head added that Kapsaos health facility is among the newest amenities, as his administration moves to emphasize on primary care for residents to get services close by and detect illnesses at early stages.
“Let’s go for triage services because we have invested in our facilities and we want a healthy community,” added Bii.
Area Member of County Assembly, Isaac Samoei, thanked Governor Bii-led administration, saying that residents initially sought services in distant facilities.
County Executive for Health Services, Dr Abraham Serem, noted that the facility will offer the best services because they are working on ways of strengthening the second pillar on quality health care services as outlined in the Governor’s Nguzo Kumi blueprint.
The County Boss also made an impromptu visit to Kapyemit health facility.Present were County Executives Dr Sam Kotut (Water), Anthony Sitienei (Education) and Chief Officers Dr Joyce Sang (Clinical Services) and Dr Paul Wangwe (Preventive and Promotive health).
