Governor Bii’s Adminstration Commissions the Queen of Peace Rukuini Secondary School Water Borehole
The County Government of Uasin Gishu together with the North Rift Valley Water Works Development Authority (NRVWWDA) commissioned the Queen of Peace Rukuini Secondary School Water Borehole in Tulwet/Chuiyat Ward, Kesses Sub-County.
The Ag. Chief Officer Water Mr Stephen Barno on behalf of the County Executive Committee Member for Water Dr. Abraham Serem reiterated H.E Governor Jonathan Bii’s plans of ensuring Uasin Gishu residents have access to clean and safe water.
He further highlighted other projects in the same area by the county which include but are not limited to the Lingwai water project, Tulwet dispensary water project, Tulwop Ngetuny, Bindura, Kaplamai, Chuiyat water Project, Masaba 1 and 2, Koisagat, and Chesunet water project.
Chairman of North Rift Valley Water Works Development Authority David Chemweno challenged the committee to manage the project well and make it a success.
The project entails the drilling of a borehole, solar installation, fencing and construction of a gate, rising main construction, installation of a 10 cubic meters plastic tank on an 8m steel elevated tower, distribution main, and establishment of communal water points. The project will serve Rukuini market, Rukuini Primary and Secondary School, and the nearby community.
