Governor George Natembeya Discusses County’s Agro Industrial Park Implementation with Industrialisation PS
Governor George Natembeya engaged in extensive discussions with Dr. Juma Mukhwana, the Principal Secretary of Industrialisation, regarding the implementation of the Trans Nzoia County Agro Industrial Park.
The meeting, held today In Nairobi, aimed to strategize on adding value to local farm produce, boosting farmers’ income, and generating numerous employment opportunities for the residents of Trans Nzoia County.
Governor Natembeya expressed his dedication to ensuring the success of this initiative, emphasizing the county’s abundant resources, including fertile soil, which he believes must be harnessed responsibly to enhance the living standards of the county’s residents.
Later in the day, Governor Natembeya and his team focused on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and the expansion of the Cooperative Bank in Kitale. Collaborating with the Bank CEO Mr Gideon Muriuki MBS,CBS, they aimed to position the county as a financial services hub, attracting businesspersons from the region.
The governor’s vision encompasses promoting economic growth and prosperity within Trans Nzoia County, utilizing its unique potential and resources. By creating an enabling environment for agro-industrial development and strengthening financial services, Governor Natembeya aims to drive sustainable progress and improve the livelihoods of the county’s population.
