Governor Lusaka Optimistic of Government Strategies ro Revive the Economy
Governor Kenneth Lusaka has expressed his optimism in President William Ruto’s strategies to transform the country saying soon the cost of living will go down.
Speaking at Kopsiro DCC Grounds in Mount Elgon Constituency where he played host to Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua for an Interdenominational Service, Lusaka exuded confidence in President William Ruto’s strategies aimed at lowering the cost of living.
“We are grateful for the good work our President is doing in lowering the cost of living; lowering the price of fertiliser is one of the biggest achievements of the government as we now have enough food in our basket. He has also announced that by next month the price of fuel will be dropping which is a step to the right direction,” said Lusaka.
On development, he highlited some of the infrastructural projects undertaken by his #LegacyRegime administration in the region not limited to murraming of roads, construction of bridges, opening up of new roads as well as lobbying for mega water projects aimed at improving the living standards of Bungoma residents.
The Governor also warned former government employees some of whom have served for long from duping Kenyans with empty rhetorics and blowing issues out of proportion yet they were part and parcel of the issue the current administration is sorting to make the country a better place for all.
He further pleaded with the National Government for consideration of key infrastructal projects in the area which include tarmacking of Kapsokwony-Kimilili road, completion of the construction and operationalization of the Mount Elgon KMTC Campus as well as the construction of the Tea Factory.
The function was also attended by the National Assembly Speaker Moses Masika Wetangula, Deputy Governor Janepher Mbatiany, Medical Services Principal Secretary Harry Kimtai.
