Governor Mandago Urges Women to Vie For Elective Seats

Uasin Gishu Governor Jackson Mandago has called on women to go for elective seats.
Speaking to the press Mandago said women are good leaders and can do better than men if given a chance.
“I want to call upon women across the country to go for elective seats and should not wait to be nominated since what a man can do a woman can also do. The former Mp Dagoretti Beth Mugo is a hero where after finishing her daily activities in parliament, she always passes by her husband’s office to greet him before going back to her home,” says Mandago.
Governor Mandago also noted that it is possible to be a family woman and also perform leadership accordingly.
Either, Mandago has advised women who are eyeing seats during this period of campaign to avoid taking bad advice.
“I heard some women advising those who are vying for seats to disrespect their husbands, do not accept because these people are the to destroy you home,” he noted.
The former SRC chairperson Sarah Serem has expressed her interest in succeeding governor Mandago after his two terms of leadership.
“When every politician will realize that no one can get votes by being violent, the country will be at peace “,” says Mandago.
He has added that politics are not bad but the politicians are the ones who are bad through creating chaos during campaigns across the country
