Governor Natembeya Forms a 13-member Health and Transformation Taskforce
Trans-Nzoia governor George Natembeya has formed a 13-member Health and Transformation taskforce
This will help to review and propose reforms in the transformation of Health Services and Sanitation in Trans Nzoia County.
Speaking on behalf of the Governor, County Secretary Madam Truphosa Amere said that there is a crisis in health care in the county.
The task force is aimed at revolutionizing how the people of Trans Nzoia experience the health services offered.
She added that the team will get full support from the governor and from TransNzoia residents to ensure they realize their mandate.
CEC for health Dr. Pepela Wanjala revealed that the county has plans that need to be implemented in the health sector.
Once done, other counties will come for benchmarking. He added that the county has put in place strategic plans for how resources will be mobilized.
The task force will be chaired by Dr. Ferdinand Wanjala Nang’ole and Dr. Rachel Inginia will be the secretary.
Starting on the 30th of January 2023, the assignment will take twenty days to complete and the report will be handed over to the governor with appropriate recommendations.
