Governor Natembeya’s Administration Poised to Empower Youths
Governor George Natembeya’s administration will continue to offer internship and attachment opportunities to graduates from local technical training centers at the county departments.
The announcement was made by the county deputy secretary, George Kisaka, who represented the governor at the Kitale National Polytechnic graduation ceremony on Friday.
Kisaka said that Governor Natembeya’s administration is dedicated to empowering the youth with the necessary skills and experience to contribute meaningfully to the county’s development.
He emphasized that technical education is a cornerstone of economic progress, and that the county is committed to bridging the skilled labor force gap.
He praised the efforts of the Kitale National Polytechnic in equipping youth with relevant technical skills.
He also announced that Governor Natembeya’s administration has already laid plans to absorb graduates from the county vocational training centers (VTCs) as interns or attachés.
In addition, Kisaka announced that the county government will continue providing tools to VTC graduates to enable them start income-generating activities.
He said that the county is keen to involve the youth in the development and management of the county, and that the upcoming county Aggregation and Industrial Park at Namandala in Kwanza Sub-County is expected to generate hundreds of employment opportunities.
