Governor Rotich’s poverty eradication policy receives overwhelming support
Public participation exercise on wealth creation bill was discussed today in five wards.
The exercise that will be conducted across all the 20 wards will run until Thursday.
It was the turn of Tambach,Soy North, Kamariny, Kapchemutwa, and Emsoo wards residents to submit their memorandum regarding the proposed laws, which is geared towards promoting wealth creation in the County.
“The policy shall be used as a tool to slay the poverty that is threatening our future generations,” said H.E Governor Wisley Rotich while calling on residents to turn up in large numbers so that their suggestions could be considered while making the new laws.
The proposals were given a nod in all the wards with residents suggesting amendments on areas they termed contentious.
The teams tomorrow will be heading to Kabiemit, Kaptarakwa, Chepkorio, Soy South, and Metkei Wards to listen to public views on the proposed laws.
A team of CECs, COs, and officers from the Planning department are leading the exercise
