Hundreds Turn Up For Public Participation on KISIP Projects at Shauri Yako and Mwanzo Settlements
County Executive Committee Member for the Department of Lands, Physical Planning, Housing and Urban Development together with his counter part from the Department of Sports Eng. Lucy Ngendo, and KISIP NPCT team leader Ms. Zenah Kirui, today joined the residents of Shauri Yako and Mwanzo Settlements that turned up in large numbers for public participation on project familiarisation and election of Settlement Executive Committee(SEC)members and Grevance Redress Committee (GRC) in the two Settlements.
The aforementioned Settlements have been earmarked as beneficiaries of infrastructure development projects including road construction, sewer systems connectivity, drainage systems, high mast lighting and street lights.
While addressing the wananchi of the Settlements, Mr.Sitienei emphasised the need to elect sober members of the community that have the interest of the people and will be able to steer the projects to completion without conflicts during its implementation stages.
The two Settlements successfully elected the SEC and GRC members who gave assurance to the leadership to ensure smooth working environment between the community and the contractors that will be involved in the works.
