Jonathan Bii, Governor Mandago Declared Governor and Senators Winners
Jonathan Bii alias Koti Moja has won the Uasin Gishu gubernatorial seat on a UDA party ticket.
Jonathan Bii garnered 214,036 while his close competitor Zedekiah Bundotich Buzeki on the Independent party ticket got 127,013 while William Kirwa (UDM)- got 6,143 votes.
Speaking to the press Bii thanked residents for believing in his leadership.
“I have been duly declared as the outrightly elected second Governor of Uasin Gishu County, thanks to our great people’s collective support at the just concluded Election contest.
This is a great honor and am alive to the fact and weight of the responsibility that comes with this unconditionally bestowed support in so far as the affairs of our beloved County are concerned,” said the Uasin Gishu governor-elect.
“This practically marks the beginning of deliberately calculated actions on a plan aimed at revitalizing and uplifting our collective economic wellbeing towards a prosperous and sustainable future. Thank you so much Uasin Gishu,” he said.
Uasin Gishu governor Jackson Mandago won the Senatorial seat where he garnered 252,800 while Robert Kemeei got 94, 875. Mandago is serving his second term as Uasin Gishu governor.
He thanked residents for believing in his leadership.
“I sincerely thank the almighty God and the people of Uasin Gishu County for entrusting me with the Senate position. I will represent you diligently with a lot of hard work, integrity, and respect and in consultation with you. Focus now shifts to Presidential results, we are winning big,”
Mandago said.
