Kenya Books a spot in the fifth-place finals after a 22-16 win over Hong Kong China
Kenya U20 National team, Chipukizi, has secured their first win in the World Rugby U20 trophy tournament.
They played against Hong Kong China to secure a 22-16 win and a chance to play in the fifth-place playoffs on Sunday the 30th of July.
Kenya lost to the Samoan team while the Zimbabwean team whom they are set to face for the 5th place playoff, lost to the Scottish U20 team on the 15th of July when the tournament kicked off.
Uruguay and Spain are the two finalists that will play against each other in the finals, the trophy winner will secure an elevation to the World Rugby U20 Championship tournament.
Scotland who were relegated from the Championship tournament displayed a great game but they were denied the chance to play in the finals after they were overpowered by Uruguay.
The tournament finals will be played on the 30th of July 2023 at the Nyayo stadium and will feature Uruguay facing Spain for the main cup trophy while Kenya will play their long-time rivals Zimbabwe for the fifth place playoffs.
