Kenyans have reacted after Mbita Member of Parliament Millie Odhiambo posted proposed University fees.

Through her official Facebook page, she posted “University fee proposed to move from Ksh 16,000 to 52,000,”

The Mbita legislator is a big supporter of the opposition leader Raila Odinga.

She was elected on an ODM party ticket.

Odhiambo is a big critique of President William Ruto who termed him as not to be the country’s president.

Her post received mixed reactions here are some of their comments.

Wuod Auma Kod Blocknyondoro says Kiprop Maritim And actually that is what Millie Mabona has said unless there is another interpretation that makes it different.

Moses Owino says “Kiprop Maritim This is a lawyer, infact a Luo Female lawyer ma onyono chuo Suba North, you want to argue with gi wiyi ma ringo to gwom no? Please just shut up bro and sit down,”
Asego Omune “And we know students from some regions will be given gvt grants while others struggle. But so ni life! God will provide for us,”

Joseph Nyangoya says “I think mama Moraa who retails mboga here and also my neighbor, will be receiving this news with happiness and ululations as she sets to send Moraa to university soon! I think she voted wisely and celebrated the result,”

Ronald Ng’etich Kimutai “An Mp talking about any matter when they have a better platform where they can debate and change the situation on university fees.
It tells us that we elected buffoons as members of the parliament,”

Students in public universities across Kenya could pay more fees to access education if the recommendations by the presidential working party on education reforms are to be implemented.

The taskforce has also proposed a raft of measures aimed at improving the quality of higher education in the country; including easing the financial burden on universities by writing off debts owed by universities to statutory bodies.
