Kenya’s Leadership Arrives in Juba for 24th EAC MSMEs Trade Fair
Dr. Wycliffe A. Oparanya, the Cabinet Secretary for Cooperatives in Kenya, accompanied by Hon. Beatrice Askul, Cabinet Secretary for the Ministry of East African Community (EAC), ASALs, and Regional Development, has officially arrived in Juba for the much-anticipated 24th EAC MSMEs Trade Fair. The event is set to commence with Kenya Day celebrations, highlighting the nation’s commitment to regional cooperation and economic development.
The trade fair serves as a crucial platform aimed at enhancing socio-economic integration among East African nations. With a focus on Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), it provides opportunities for businesses to showcase their products, engage in meaningful networking, and share vital information on cross-border trade.
Dr. Oparanya emphasized the importance of the trade fair in strengthening ties between East African countries. “This event not only showcases the resilience and innovation of our MSMEs but also underscores our collective commitment to fostering regional trade and collaboration,” he stated.
Hon. Askul echoed these sentiments, noting that the fair would facilitate significant business-to-business interactions that could lead to long-term partnerships and economic growth. “By working together, we can unlock the full potential of our markets and drive sustainable development across the region,” she added.
The EAC MSMEs Trade Fair is expected to attract a diverse range of exhibitors and participants, fostering an environment of cooperation and shared growth among East African nations. As the festivities begin, stakeholders are optimistic about the prospects of increased trade and collaboration in the region.
