KORIR THANKS GOVERNOR WANGAMATI FOR HIS DREAM

Michael Korir Juma is second born of three kids from Kamneru in Kapkateny Ward of Mt Elgon Sub County. Him and his elder sibling sat their KCPE in 2017. He scored 395 marks.

In 2018, following news that Governor Wangamati was awarding scholarships to bright but needy students, Korir and the mother , a peasant farmer, trekked all the way from Kamneru to the Governor’s Office to seek help.

On account of his score and strong will, Korir got his wish and for the last 4 years, he has been at Tenwek High School in Bomet County.

He scored an A of 82 points in the just released KCSE. He hopes to do Medicine at the University of Nairobi.

Today morning, him and the mother called on the Governor at the Office to say “Thank You!
