Langas Residents Want Security Beefed UP Following Increased Cases of Theft
Residents of Langas on the outskirts of Eldoret want Uasin Gishu County Commissioner Eddison Nyale to improve security in the ward.
Speaking to the press, Rev. Paul Mburu said there have been increased cases of insecurity in the after street children from Eldoret town were dumped there.
“I want to call upon our able commissioner to come to our rescue by enhancing security in the region by adding more police since we are suffering and the street children are stealing phones and other things from us,” said Rev, Paul Mburu.
“After the Uasin Gishu county government started the project of reducing street children from Eldoret town the street children have now invaded Langas estate and they steal from people and their homesteads. As I am talking we are forced to go back to our homes as early as 6 Pm.” said Rev. Mburu.
He said residents are now in fear of sending their to nearby shops because of the street children who are scattered all over the street.
“We are calling on the County government to come and rescue us by removing the street children in Langas Estate for security to prevail,” he added.
However, Mburu is hopeful that the government will improve the state of the country in terms of economy, reduce fuel prices, and ensure a decrement in the price of fuel which has been a major challenge for the last few months.
“We are expecting to witness a country free of corruption, more job opportunities created, and food security to curb hunger which has affected the country in the just concluded year,” said Rev. Mburu.
