Long serving Wareng KNUT Secretary John Boor
Long serving Wareng KNUT Secretary John Boor has finally been laid to rest at his rural home in Ngeria, Kaptum, Kesses constituency.
Speaking during his burial Kapseret member of parliament Oscar described the deceased as a hardworking and God fearing man.
“On behalf of the people of Kapseret and my family, I want to send my message of condolences to the family and friends of the deceased may God give them strength during this hard time of mourning.The late Boor was my teacher and since then we grew together as close friends,” said the Kapseret member of parliament while speaking to the press.
He noted that the deceased Boor was his teacher teacher and they grew together as close friends.
“Mwalimu Boor taught me how to be bold, wise and speak out my mind. He was a vibrant, visionary and outspoken leaders who championed the rights of teachers when serving in KNUT. It’s a big blow to Kaptum village, Megun Ward having lost such a brilliant and zealous man,” he added.
Boor vied for the just concluded KNUT elections was defeated by Yego who was his deputy.
Boor served as Wareng KNUT Executive secretary for over ten years.
Kesses member of parliament Dr Swarup Mishra described the deceased as a man of the people and down to earth leader.
“On behalf of the people of Kesses and myself I want to send my message of condolences to the family and friends of the deceased, may God give you strength during this hard time of mourning,” he said.
