MANDAGO EXPLORES MORE OPPORTUNITIES FOR U.G YOUTH TO STUDY AND WORK ABROAD
Governor Jackson K. Mandago EGH, today held talks with Canadian High Commissioner H. E David Da Silva at Canadian embassy residence, where he successfully bid for partnership with several universities and colleges in Canada for Uasin Gishu County Youth to benefit from through further studies, scholarships and job opportunities abroad.
Mandago said that his desire to see youth empowered and given opportunities to grow in various careers and sectors of work is unwavering and that the talks they engaged today would cement the bilateral ties between Uasin Gishu County Government and Canada.
“We have discussed at length the need to ensure Visa issuance for students going to study in Canada is prioritized and partnerships in trade & industry are enhanced between us and Canada. We would like to partner with Canada on capacity building and employment opportunities in the health sector as well. 120 students from the County will be traveling to Canada in March and another 275 will be heading to Finland following agreements we also made there,” H. E Mandago said.
Governor Mandago recently send 51 students to pursue Studies in Nursing schools in Finland a program that will also enhance job opportunities for youth from Uasin Gishu.
His bid for senatorial seat promises a delivery of legislative reforms to enhance and create scholarships and work permits in Europe and other continents.
