In a bold move on Mashujaa Day, Michael Kirwa has officially declared his candidacy for the 2027 presidential election. Kirwa, a young leader from Kapkeben Village, announced his ambition to bring change to the country, focusing on the needs of youth, women, and the Kenyan population at large. His declaration was met with enthusiastic support from local leaders and the community.

“As a youth, I have the experience of what people are going through on the ground,” Kirwa said. “I understand the struggles that youths, women, and Kenyans in general face. Today, I humbly ask Kenyans to vote for me because I am the change they have been looking for.”

Kirwa outlined his leadership background, which spans from his childhood to the present day. He emphasized his roles as a Sunday school prefect, a leader in both primary and secondary school, and the chairman of the youth group in his church. “I have the leadership skills and experience that Kenyans from all walks of life want,” he stated confidently.

Kirwa’s core agenda includes putting God first, empowering women in leadership, fighting corruption, and eliminating tribalism. He also made a bold promise to pay off Kenya’s debt in less than 100 days if elected president. “It’s not a must for you to be president to serve the people, but I will use a bodaboda to traverse the country and give out sweets as a symbol of the sweetness of our nation,” Kirwa added, reflecting his down-to-earth approach to politics.

Kirwa’s father, Paul Kirwa, gave his blessing for his son’s presidential bid. “I have faith that my son will transform this country. He has always shown leadership, and since childhood, he has said one day he would become Kenya’s president,” the elder Kirwa shared, advising his son to “put God first and unite Kenyans if elected.”

In Kapkeben Village, Kirwa’s bid was met with overwhelming support. Nahashon Samoei, a village elder, praised the young leader for his courage. “We support his bid for the presidency. He comes from humble beginnings, but we believe he will unite the country, fight corruption, and end tribalism,” Samoei stated.

Kelvin Kemboi, a local youth leader, echoed the excitement of Kenya’s younger generation. “This is a wise move. Michael has been our chairman, and he has made a record. We’ve never seen a young president – it’s always been those over 50. But as Gen-Z, we are proud of him and fully support his journey,” Kemboi declared.

As the 2027 election approaches, Michael Kirwa’s entry into the race is sure to ignite discussions about youth leadership and the future of Kenya’s political landscape. With his focus on faith, inclusivity, and anti-corruption, Kirwa aims to captivate the hearts of voters across the country, promising a fresh start for Kenya.
