Moiben MP Urges Kenyans to Support the Financial Bill
Moiben Member of Parliament Prof. Phylis Bartoo has urged Kenyans to support 2023 Financial
Bill.
Bartoo says Kenyans should support the government so that they can pass the bill for more development programs to be actualized.
“We are calling upon citizens to corporate with us as we pass this bill. The economy of this Country is at stake and the only way we can revive our economy is by paying taxes.” Said the Moiben member of Parliament.
Bartoo added that the Kenya Kwanza government is using the bottom-up model to ensure that every need of the citizens is catered for.
” We will make sure every person starting from government officials pay taxes to ensure that we can move from down to up together as a country,” Bartoo added.
She noted that the government has a plan to make developments including the construction of schools, and roads, and to ensure that every Kenyan gets electricity.
“Most of the people living in rural areas have problems with electricity and also poor roads. The government aims at building more roads and making sure that every citizen gets access to electricity after this bill is passed,” she said.
Bartoo urged citizens to pay taxes as this comes days after a section of legislators has come out publicly and said they will reject the bill.
