Mois Girls Among Schools to Represent Uasin Gishu in Regional Championship games in Nakuru
Moi Girls High School is among the Schools that will represent Uasin Gishu County in the upcoming regional Championship games.
The regional Championship games are scheduled for 5th September in Kajiado, Nakuru.
Schools that will represent the county in the games are Uasin Gishu High School in basketball, Arnesen’s Secondary School in football, Olare Secondary school in netball, New light High school in volleyball, Moi Girls High school in football and basketball among others.
Speaking to the press Uasin Gishu County Director of Education, Muriuki Harrison urged the advancing schools to represent the county well.
“In volleyball, we have Tuiyo Secondary school and we expect these schools to perform well and advance to the National Championship games, ”Harrison said.
Moi Girls High School capitalized on their home advantage to thrash Ngeria High School 6-1 in football and defeated Testimony Secondary School 22-10 in basketball to showcase their dominance in the county.
Tuiyo High School beat Kosachei Secondary School 3-1 in the volleyball boys category while New Light High School won 3-1 against Chuiyat High School to Clinch the girl’s Volleyball. Arnesens Secondary School were 4-1 winners against Kisumu boys in football.
The local sporting extravaganza which is returning after more than two years due to the Covid 19 pandemic lived up to expectations as Schools and civilians showed up to grace the occasion.
The county director further added that the county is ready to host the regional and National Championship games for children with Special needs from 5th to 7th September and 8th respectively having identified schools the games would be held in.
“We have identified Paul Boit High School, Moi Girls High school, Hill school, and Chebisas High School as the schools the games would be conducted in,” Harrison concluded.
