Mois’bridge Ward MCA Bishop Patrick Kimeli Applauds the Role Played by The Media
Mois’bridge Ward MCA Bishop Patrick Kimeli has applauded the media for the role they play in informing the public.
He says as the World marks World Press freedom day they should be allowed to do their work without interference.
“Media plays a major role as the fourth state in Kenya, by providing information on various issues in life to the masses. We celebrate our media personalities, the great sacrifices they offer to make sure the public is enlightened and get timely information of happenings in the world,” said the Moisbridge Ward MCA and the Labour Committee chairman.
This year’s theme is ‘Shaping a Future of Rights and Freedom of expression ‘
“Let’s support our media personalities. Continue putting more effort into educating the masses. Alluta Continua” added Kimeli.
He urged the Members of the Fourth Estate to execute their duties diligently without bias.
“Without the media, the world will be in darkness, always report without bias. As we mark this great day, I want to appreciate the media for their role of informing society on daily happenings”, She Said.
“I want to urge the government and other Stakeholders to accord the press their freedom as enshrined in the Kenyan Constitution and their rights should not be infringed at all costs,” he added.
